The Apartments
The apartments are homey and comfortable. They have two bedrooms, each containing 2 beds. The large dining room has a couch that can be transformed into a bed, in which up to 2 children can sleep. It is also possible to put in a folding bed, so that a total of 7 people can stay in one apartment. A kitchenette is positioned at the far end of the dining room. There is a balcony from where you have an unforgettable view of the Bietschhorn – 3934 metres above sea level. The scenery is spectacular.
Magnificent views and mountain air
We have a complex of fifty five apartments spread across into 10 buildings in the Ferienpark “Alpine Village”, Lauchernalp.
The holiday camp is located in the Bernese Alps at an altitude of 1950 metres high - the ideal spot for you to take advantage of magnificent views and the pure mountain air.
Spiritual Luxury Not Compromised
In our main building we have a spacious room which is used as the camp`s Beis Hamidrash offering regular Minyanim taking place in it. Whenever you wish, these premises are available to learn in peace. Many people, including distinguished Rabbonim, who have shared previous holidays with us, appreciated that in our camp one is able to spend a most remarkable holiday combined with a spiritual atmosphere.
Exciting Outings for Adults and Children Alike
There is a very large choice of outing possibilities in the area. Be it awesome mountain trails, cable cars, or tobogganing, all of these are situated a short distance from our camp.
An experienced receptionist, Mr. Thom Trachsel will be on the premises to give you detailed information on any outing possibility. We have child friendly conveniences on site: a nice playground as well as indoor facilities with games and toys.
Swimmingpool
The swimmingpool which belongs to our complex is clean and well kept. It will be available every morning to the men for mikva-use.
Besides for this there will be separate swimming times for men and women every day.
Food Supplies
We provide you with a shop which supplies all basic kosher food items, as well as preserved provisions to make cooking easier. Bread and milk will be there every day. There will also be a kosher list where you can see which items may be bought from the local shops. A well-known catering of Zurich will supply us with delicious cooked meals for those customers wishing a daily cooked meal. There is also a possibility of ordering readymade Shabbos products, including Challos.
Getting there
For those arriving by plane the train journey from Zurich or Geneva airport to our location is a comfortable ride of just three hours. Take advantage of this journey and enjoy the spectacular Swiss view while passing through the breathtaking Alps. This journey takes you to Goppenstein which is in the Lötschen valley. We present you with an exceptional offer of Free Luggage Transfer from the train station in Goppenstein to the Alpine village, so that you can continue without them. From there the Swiss Post Bus brings you to the cable station Wiler. From there the cable car carries you above the fascinating forests to the wonderful village Lauchernalp. It is also possible to reach our camp by car - a 2 1/2 hours drive from airport. There is free parking at the bottom of the cable car station.
